Ebook Formatting

It's important to format your eBook correctly. Just like pictures can be JPEG, GIF, PNG, or TIFF, eBooks have a lot of different formats as well. Here at 1pdftoepub we can convert your PDF into the most popular and compatible files types, so that you can reach everyone with a digital reader, no matter what brand it is. We take Ebook formatting to the next level! We take extra-special care to make sure your book is formatted for all eReaders while still implementing Digital Rights Management (DRM). Here are more about the different eBooks formats.

ePub - The open ebook standard which is rapidly becoming the most popular eBook format in the industry. ePub was built from existing web standards such as html, css, and zip compression. With ePub, your work is safe through integrated Digital Rights Management software. ePub also supports sound, images, tables, word-wrap (which means the text adjusts depending on screen size), embedded annotations, interactivity, bookmarking, and more! ePub files are viewable on every eReader on the market – including Android devices and Apple IOS devices – except the Kindle.

HTML - Some eBooks are available for reading directly on the web as a single HTML page or a series of page. HTML pages can be downloaded and read offline, but lacks DRM capabilities. ePub gives you the same benefits of HTML but packages them in a single, compressed file.

PDF - The Portable Document Format created by Adobe! For a long time, PDF's were the industry standard when it came to eBooks. PDF format documents provide an excellent on-screen representation of a printed document. While they were made an open standard a few years ago, PDF documents lack word-wrap making them difficult to view on portable devices with smaller screens. Not all portable devices have reader software that will display PDF.

MobiPocket - The .mobi format is supported by a wide range of mobile devices such as PDAs, phones and communicators. Readers are available on Windows, Linux and MacOS X operating systems. Amazon's Kindle uses a very slightly modified version of this format.
